What changed vs today: today the GIF / camera / mic all vanish at once on the first keystroke (the field width jumps). Here only mic → send swaps; emoji + attach stay put. The corner radius stays 22px as it grows to 2–3 lines (no pop), and the action icons are not re-measured every frame.
